Lloyd Mowrer age 72 of Bloomington, IL passed away at 1:58 AM on Tuesday, January 09, 2018 at Meadows Mennonite Nursing Home, Chenoa, IL. His memorial service will 11:00 AM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Beck Memorial Home 209 E. Grove St. Bloomington, IL. Pastor Randie White will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM-11:00 AM Saturday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL  Private inurnment will be at a later date at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Animal Protection League of Illinois PO Box 222, Bloomington IL 61702-0222

Lloyd was born July 14, 1945 in Bloomington, IL the son of Charles Edward and Helen Key Mowrer. He married Dianne Pumphrey on October 19, 1968 in at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington, IL. She survives.

Also surviving is his son, Christopher (Tami) Mowrer, Tolono, IL, 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Alex Mowrer, Tolono, IL.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Charles and Alan Mowrer and a sister-in-law Katherine Mowrer.

 Lloyd served in the US air Force during the Vietnam War from 1964-1968.

He was an Inventory Control Specialist for General Electric, Bloomington, IL and later worked at Redneck Trailer Supply, Bloomington. Lloyd enjoyed going to car shows, building computers and photography. He was an avid animal enthusiast.
